Aim
The primary aim of this programme is to develop a range of
appropriate knowledge, values, skills and competencies
sufficient to enable learner to operate and manage
effectively with domestic and international markets. This
course provides knowledge of applications and in-depth
analysis in preparation for careers in business
administration, product management, strategic planning,
financial management and control as well as marketing
entrepreneurship.
At the end of the course, a graduate is expected to be
able to:
- Critically analyse an industry and a specific firm within
an industry.
- Make use of different aspects of business models in making
managerial decisions.
- Perform financial analysis to assess an organisation's
financial condition
- Communicate effectively both verbally & non-verbally for a
variety of objectives and audiences.
- Think laterally, critically, innovatively, creatively, and
to make connections among diverse fields of study in
analysing business problems.
- Apply the skills towards complex problem analysis,
decision-making and in the application of modern strategic
management methods relevant to the field of business
administration
- Explain and apply analytical constructs to business problem
solving.
- Appreciate the values of social responsibility, legal and
ethical philosophy in business, and corporate governance
through the analysis and symposium of relevant articles and
real business cases
- Perform team work and leadership skills.
- Design organisations to make and implement specific
business decisions under given performance requirements.
- Perform various business activities necessary for
managerial posts that satisfy market demand.
- Engage in environmental activities that demonstrate his/her
environmental awareness.

Continuous Professional Development
EBMA Level 7 Postgradute Diploma in Business Administration
provides Continuous Professional Development (CPD). This
involves reading study material on professional learning and
development and writing assignments, group projects at work
place and an end of unit assessment.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration also
provides its learner the realistic and appropriate career
related guidance worldwide for early 21st century employment
markets and there will be high demand of individuals in blue
chip multinational companies listed in stock exchanges to
work as a competent manager.
University Routes
This qualification is articulated to the MBA at Liverpool
John Moores University. Holders of the EBMA Level 7
Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration can join MBA
at dissertation level. Holders of the EBMA Level 7
Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration can also
join MBA Top-Up (Dissertation only) at the Plymouth
University. This qualification also leads to advanced

Course Structure
The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration has
seven mandatory and two optional units. Learners must have
to earn 135 credit points to obtain the EBMA Level 7
Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration.
The seven mandatory units include:
Unit 01: International Marketing Management
Unit 02: Organisational Development and Change
Unit 03: Financial Management
Unit 04: International Business Strategy
Unit 05: Operations and Supply Chain Management
Unit 06: Human Resource Management
Unit 07: Research Methods for Managers
Two optional units can be drawn from the following list:
Unit 08: Entrepreneurship and Business Development
Unit 09: Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility
Unit 10: International Economics
Unit 11: Business and Sustainability
Unit 12: Information Systems for Managers

Assessment
In order to be considered for a postgraduate diploma,
learners are required to complete a combination of mandatory
units and specialist optional units. Assessment includes
written examinations and assignments which will be assessed
according to the generic programme criteria provided in the
EBMA assessment handbook for tutors. |
