| BCS Diploma in IT |
Introduction: This level is the academic equivalent
to Year 2 of a UK university honours degree and is
recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA)
as Level 5. By beginning the Diploma in IT level course BCS
assumes knowledge of the Certificate in IT level modules (or
exemption).
Programme Structure: There are four semesters in this
programme. Students need to pass all the units for the
successful completion of this programme.

- Database Systems
- International Business Communication
- English Language for Academic purposes
Semester 03
- Computer Networks
- International Business Communication
- English Language for Academics Purposes
Semester 04
- Object Oriented Programming
- Professional Project
Duration: 01 Year (Full Time)
Fee: (Without assessment/examinations)
International Students: £4000
Local Students: £3000
Assessment: Examinations which are externally
assessed and moderated by the BCS (UK)
Main Intakes: Jan, April, June & September
Scholarship: £500: Available for brilliant students
with marks 70% or above, varies course to course
Entry Requirements:
English language competence: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
- Successful completion of BCS Certificate in IT or
equivalent + relevant experience
- An IT Certificate or an IT qualification which is
equivalent to Level 4.
Progression: Successful completion of the Diploma
enables you to apply for Level 6 qualifications or Final
year of BSc (Hons) degree. This qualification also makes you
eligible to apply for BCS Professional Membership i.e. MBCS,
if you have 3 years of professional experience.
