Aim
Graduate Diploma in Business and Information Technology aims
to give learners a firm ground in the knowledge, skills and
understanding of computing, software development and the
global business environment

12-18 Months
Entry Requirement
- EBMA Diploma in Business Administration or
- EBMA Diploma in Administrative Management or
- Possession of HND in Computing or Equivalent Level 5
qualifications will give direct entry to Graduate Diploma in
Information Technology.
Units
A candidate has to attend five units (120 Credit Points) to
pass Graduate Diploma in Business and Information
Technology.
Unit 1: Advanced Business Studies
Unit 2: Econometric for Finance
Unit 3: System Analysis and Design
Unit 4: Business Accounting
Unit 5: System Thinking and Organisational Learning
Assessment
Assessment includes assignment, projects and formal
examination. Centres are responsible for assessment and
internal verification while EBMA provides external
moderation services. All elements of assessment for a
Graduate Diploma in Information Technology are marked by
internal examiners and, as appropriate, an external
examiner.
External Moderation
External moderation is the process that checks centres’
assessment meets EBMA’s requirements. External moderation of
a centre’s assessment decisions is achieved through
sampling. An EBMA Moderator samples the centre’s assessment
decisions at an external moderation meeting organised by
EBMA. On the basis of the sample taken, the EBMA Moderator
will either agree with the centre’s assessment decisions or
disagree with the centre’s assessment decisions in relation
to particular skill areas.
Grading Criteria
The examiners for each course will decide a numerical mark
for each candidate using the following scale:

Progression Route
Graduate Diploma in Information Technology will create a
progression route to Postgraduate Diploma in Information
